Losing gracefully...what?!

When my daughter’s teacher mentioned losing gracefully my competitive side made me shiver and caused selected deafness.

The word losing just does not sit right with me and that realisation made me listen more to Pete(the teacher) He pointed out that in ordr for one to win another has to lose and if they do that gracefully all can enjoy the game.

Taking this principle in all areas of life I can see how when I don’t succeed at first I make it mean something about myself, not good enough. I can see that when I appreciate the process and my effort I don’t need to make it mean anything about me or my self worth. I can play over and over, enjoy the process, learn, grow and be happy with myself.
